Fencing School De Jordaan is an active association in the heart of Jordaan. We offer training and coaching for about 70 members. From young to old, from recreational to competitive fencers. The Fencing School has several teachers of the highest level, each with their own way of teaching.

Breakdown of training sessions

In certain situations, practices will be cancelled by default. Members will be notified of all measures via the app and the bulletin board on this website.

Training in exceptional heat

  • Temperatures between 25 to 29°C : HOT WEATHER SCEDULE, i.e. training time is reduced to ¾ of normal training time.
  • temperatures of 30°C and above: NO SCREENS 

Training in exceptionally cold temperatures

  • temperatures between 0 and -9° C, with sleet or heavy snowfall: NO TRAINING
  • temperatures below -10°C : NO TRAINING

Training in case of over exceptional weather

  • storm; at KNMI code red: NO TRAINING
  • precipitation: at KNMI code red: NO TRAINING

Calamities
No fencing if the fencing hall is poor or inaccessible due to an emergency, or is closed due to legislation, for example:

  • no passage (street is blocked off)
  • fire or water damage to the hall
  • epidemics
  • sudden failure of teachers
